S1, E2 : Kyle Poole (Drums)

KYLE POOLE for Capsulocity.com:

Music wunderkind Kyle Poole is a star. In his mid-teens, the Los Angeles born and bred artist played with the likes of Herbie Hancock and Roy Hargrove as part of the prestigious Theloniuous Monk Institute for Jazz. Now 19, he’s moved to New York as a student at the New School, soaking up the city’s bubbling jazz scene and in a short time let’s just say, Poole’s been drumming up some interest.

S1, E1 : Christian Sands (Piano)

CHRISTIAN SANDS for Capsulocity.com:

Christian Sands loves ivory. He loves the way it feels against his fingertips. He simply can’t resist ivory…keys. This classically trained pianist, originally from New Haven, Connecticut has been playing the piano for as long as he can remember. Sands, 23, who is also a composer, producer and Grammy-nominated artist is a 2011 graduate of the Manhattan School of Music and a protégé of legendary pianist Dr. Billy Taylor. While in school, he was largely in demand—he played at the Grammys twice, where he once did a duet with the legendary Oscar Peterson and toured throughout Europe, Japan, Israel and Mexico. In addition to having a children’s book and four solo albums under his belt, Sands appears on the recent release by drummer Ulysses Owens, “Unanimous” and also on an upcoming release by bassist Christian McBride. In this episode, Sands performs "Runaway" by Kanye West.
